The Second Chance Fund is used to cover veterinary expenses for shelter animals in need of emergency medical care and medical procedures that would not otherwise be covered by the shelter budget.  This program has allowed us to fund much needed dental work (which can lead to heart disease), stitches, mending of broken bones, treatment for mange, abscesses, and sadly even gunshot wounds, just to name a few. Countless animals are saved each year because of this fund.
